By Jeff, DigiCut Team
If you’ve searched the DigiCut library for a specific vehicle and come up empty, you’re not the only one asking why. It’s one of the most common questions we hear, and it deserves a straight answer.
The short answer
Pattern availability comes down to vehicle availability, not oversight. Every pattern in the DigiCut library is developed 100 percent in-house, and before we can create a pattern, our team has to build it on the actual vehicle it’s designed for. No pattern goes into the library until that hands-on work is done.
A common misconception worth clearing up
Some installers assume we build patterns from 3D scans or laser measurements. We don’t. Any 3D scanning imagery you see from us is a marketing tool we use to show a pattern’s fit visually. The actual process behind every template starts as a physical pattern developed directly on a real vehicle, by hand, by our design team.
Why we keep the process in house
Quality control dictates how every pattern is developed, and keeping that process in house is how we protect it. When a third party builds a pattern, we lose the ability to guarantee the same standard we hold ourselves to. Doing the work ourselves means every pattern that reaches you has gone through the same hands-on process and the same quality checks, vehicle after vehicle.
The process keeps advancing, the standard doesn’t
Our tools and techniques have changed a lot over the years. The software, the precision, and the process behind building a pattern have all advanced. What hasn’t changed is the requirement that starts it all: a real vehicle in front of our team before a pattern gets built. That requirement is why the library grows steadily, one vehicle at a time.
Don’t see your vehicle yet?
That gap is simply where the library stands today, and it closes a little more with every vehicle we get hands-on with. The fastest way to move a vehicle up the list is to request it directly. Let us know which vehicle you need, and that request becomes part of what shapes which patterns we build next.
